Dr. Alemnew Sheferaw Asrese is a senior Software Engineer at Skylo Technology. From 2020 - July 2021, he was Senior Cloud Developer at Ericsson Finland. He received Doctroal degree (D.Sc. (Tech.)) (2021) in Networking Technology from Aalto University, Finland. He was supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joerg Ott and Dr. Pasi Sarolahti.

He received Master degree (2014) in Computer Science from University of Trento, Italy where he was advised by Prof. Alberto Montresor and his Bachelor's degree (2010) in Information Science from Adama Science & Technology University, Ethiopia. He was a visiting PhD student at Chair of Connected Mobility of Technical University of Munich (2017), INRIA - Paris, France (2017), Simula Research Laboratories (2016). His current research focus is network measurement and QoE modelling. Before joining Aalto, he was intern student at NEC Europe Labs, Germany, a developer at GreenPrefab Italia, Italy, a graduate assistant at Adama Science & Technology University, Ethiopia.
